Sana Hastakala

Founded in 1989 with assistance from UNICEF, Sana Hastakala is a not-for-profit organisation employing 22 seamstresses in-house, including 6 who are deaf, and working with over 70 artisan groups throughout Nepal in business and community development programs. As a founding member of Fair Trade Group Nepal and a member of the World Fair Trade Organization, Sana Hastakala paves the way for poverty alleviation and the facilitation of socio-economic development through Fair Trade. Each hand-crafted item is a testament to both the rich cultural heritage of traditional techniques and the individual skill and ingenuity Nepal's artisans, many of whom are women working on a small scale to support their own families. Their creations are the message of mutual enrichment through cultural exchange that is possible through Fair Trade; to be shared with, cuddled and loved by children across the globe. Coming soon ...
